Terms & Conditions – Acre Hire

These terms apply to all equipment hired from Acre Hire. By hiring equipment from us, you agree to the following terms.

1. Hire Agreement

The hire period begins when the equipment is collected or delivered and ends when it is returned to Acre Hire.

The customer is responsible for the equipment for the full duration of the hire period.

2. Payment

Payment must be made in full before or at the start of the hire period unless otherwise agreed.

3. Use of Equipment

All equipment must be used safely and for its intended purpose.

The customer is responsible for ensuring they understand how to use the equipment correctly.

Acre Hire accepts no responsibility for misuse of equipment.

4. Responsibility & Liability

The customer is fully responsible for the equipment during the hire period.

This includes:

  • Loss or theft

  • Damage (including accidental damage)

  • Misuse

The customer agrees to pay for repair or replacement costs if the equipment is damaged, lost or stolen.

5. Damage & Cleaning

Equipment must be returned in the same condition it was supplied.

A cleaning fee may be charged if equipment is returned excessively dirty.

Damage caused during hire will be charged accordingly.

6. Breakdown

If equipment breaks down during normal use, the customer must stop using it immediately and contact Acre Hire.

We will aim to repair, replace or refund at our discretion.

We are not liable for any losses caused by breakdown or delays.

7. Collection & Delivery

Delivery and collection times are agreed in advance.

The customer must ensure access is available.

Missed deliveries or collections may incur additional charges.

8. Late Returns

Equipment must be returned on time.

Late returns may be charged at the daily hire rate.

9. Identification

Acre Hire may require proof of ID and address before releasing equipment.

10. Cancellations

Cancellations should be made as early as possible.

Acre Hire reserves the right to charge for late cancellations or no-shows.

11. Weather & Conditions

No refunds will be given due to weather conditions unless agreed at our discretion.

12. Limitation of Liability

Acre Hire is not liable for:

  • Injury or damage caused by misuse of equipment

  • Loss of income or delays

  • Any indirect or consequential loss

13. Agreement

By hiring equipment from Acre Hire, you agree to these terms and conditions.
